Fibers moving in all directions, statement volumes taking shape, mushrooms invading the runway...
Tony Ward presented his Couture Fall Winter 2019/20 Fashion Show at the Intercontinental Hotel, Paris Le Grand on the 1st of July 2019, during Couture Week.
From gowns taking around 80,000 meters of organza layers and countless of sewn filaments, to the newly introduced white 3D printed dress that took more than 450 hours of work, the network of fungus was blossomed!
The various structures & volumes were following the beat as if they’re immersed from the forest’s undergrowth, while the white caps and gill’s lines of a mushroom were inverted in different ways and translated into stitched fibers.
